The SNAPIG agencies distribute, respecting the contracts that bound them to their authors, photographic Rights Managed or Royalty-Free collections.
Rights Managed (RM)
The assignment of copyright is determined by the use of the image : the medium, type of support, its format, its printing, duration and geographic area of distribution, the image's size and its place on the support.
For any other use or re-use, it is necessary to ask first for a prior authorization to the agency and to possibly pay for a new assignment of right. Thus, this new one-by-one management of RM pictures by the agency enables it to keep the account of its publications and to consent, if necessary, temporary, sectoral or geographic exclusivities. The RM is also a means for the client to preserve the originality of his communication or publications.
Royalty-Free (RF)
The Royalty-Free pictures are governed by a licence contract, the price of which is only determined by the size of the image's file.
There is no numeral nor temporal limit to the use. The granted licence is personal and untransferable. It is not necessary to ask for an authorization for every additional use. Nonetheless, it is advised to check, from collection to collection, each user licence contract that precisely defines the extent of the granted use.
The agency can't grant exclusivity to this type of images nor manage the publications' account. Therefore, a same RF picture can be used by several clients and on several supports at the same time.
